History:
Kids Going Bananas After School Program has existed since 2003. We are a ministry of Discover Church, where children are not just a ministry, they are a priority
Program Highlights:
We believe that it is important for kids to spend time with adults who care about them and invest in their lives. Homework completion is a priority, so adults are available for homework assistance. We also offer All Day Care for school holidays, teacher workdays, and snow days
Support Services:
tutoring & lessons, as well as a church community
Activities:
After each child competes their homework, they can join in group activities, with include outdoor and indoor group games and team problem solving games. Besides our regular activities, tutoring and lessons in guitar, drums, trumpet, art, skateboarding, and karate are offered
Field Trip Destinations: We regularly visit Southside Park's playground and recreation fields during the normal school week. For All Day Care, fun activities such as roller skating, indoor rock climbing, bowling, and swimming are planned
Program Information:
We believe: Finishing homework is important, so kids can enjoy the evening with their families.
Kids should explore their interests, so tutoring and lessons are available.
Workers should play just as hard as kids do, instead of just supervising for injuries.
Kids need a safe place to play on school holidays, just in case parents have to work.
Slogan: Designed for kids with parents in mind
