History:
The 21st CCLC Standing Rock/Fort Yates Community School "Night Lights" Program is in the sixth year of operation. The program has been recognized as the outstanding 21st CCLC Program in the state of North Dakota for four years now. The site coordinator received the 21st Century Educator Award - October 2009.
Program Highlights:
Reading and Language Arts - computerized and hands-on activities; Mathematics - computerized and hands-on activities; Science - hands-on activities; Art - hands-on activities; archery; Standing Rock Sioux Nation - singing, drumming, and dancing; Lakota/Dakota Language classes; Ace-it Classes; Education Field Trips; 4-H; Boys Scout; Girls Scout; Read Right; GEMS Activities; & Child Care Meal and Snack Provided (First Aid, CPR, and Baby sitting)
