Actively involved in promoting academic competitions, especially regarding National Science Bowl and ENVIROTHON competitions. We have helped introduce and train new schools to these competitions and would be happy to do so for others. One of our teachers is an volunteer coordinator for National Science Bowl and is also active at the state level helping with ENVIROTHON. For the past few years we have fielded a chess team and are looking to possibly capture the 2016 State Scholastic Chess Open Tournament. We participate in Math Counts and other academic competitions. We also have three Cape Cod Field Study trips per year where students submit research proposals. Those chose spend 3 days and 3 nights at Nickerson State Park campground and many other locations on the Cape studying various ecosystems and natural history highlights.
