History:
For a quarter of a century, working parents have trusted the After School Program of the YWCA Princeton. It is licensed by the State of New Jersey, Department of Human Services, Division of Youth and Family Services, and is a registered member of the nationwide Afterschool Alliance.
Program Highlights:
The YWCA Princeton After School Program provides quality childcare for children in grades K-6 from the end of the school day until 6 p.m. in a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment. The core curriculum includes a multicultural program and a bullying-prevention program that foster self-esteem and teach children to respect. The Program promotes positive parenting, enabling parents to focus on their careers and jobs with the knowledge that their children are well cared for and are constructively engaged.
Support Services:
Bfore School Program at some locations.
Full-day program from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on some school holidays.
Activities:
Daily activities may include arts & crafts, games, free play, homework, sports. Enrichments may include "mad science," junior engineering, kung fu, video animation, instructional sports, Mandarin Chinese, clay, pottery, and fine arts, digital photography.
Field Trip Destinations: Varied.
