The curriculum includes a comprehensive STEM program and arts program in addition to the core classes. Enrichment classes enhance learning at the elementary school level. 20+ AP and Dual-Credit courses are available beginning freshman year.

A personal and college counseling program assists JH/HS students, a School Counselor, Academic Specialist, and a therapy dog support the elementary school

Chromebooks are issued by the school for students in grades K-8. High school students participate in the BYOD (bring your own device) program. Computer classes are once per week in grades K-8 and are electives for the HS students.

Students follow a dress policy that includes specific uniform skirts, slacks, shirts, etc.

K-6 students take an assessment test and records are reviewed for acceptance. Upper-level students are admitted based upon a review of grades from elementary school.  High school students are admitted who score in the 50th percentile or above on the High School Placement Test.

The school was founded in 1904 by the Benedictine Sisters of St. Walburg Monastery. It began as an all-girl school with boarders. The Montessori school opened in 1971. Boys enrolled in the 1980s. The elementary school is ranked as the #1 Private Elementary School in KY (niche.com) and the high school has several National Blue Ribbon designations, is a COGNIA School of Distinction, and has been recognized by Newsweek and the Washington Post, among other recognitions.
