We offer a range of engaging, high-quality programs in a warm atmosphere with many opportunities to make new friends and lasting relationships – for you and your entire family! 

Included with your membership:

Fitness Center, Over 80 FREE Group Exercise Classes a week (plus more with a small fee associated), Heated Indoor and Outdoor Pools, Tennis and Racquetball Courts, Gymnasium, Locker Rooms with Saunas, Steam Room, and Whirlpools, and Discounts on Programs for Children and Adults!

Get fit. Have fun. At the Shaw JCC, we can help you reach your wellness goals, no matter where you're starting! The J has a state-of-the-art fitness center, a full size gymnasium, racquetball courts, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts and playing fields. And we offer fun and challenging Programs and Group Excerise classes.

We also offer Personal Training and Fitness Programs to keep you motivated and get the results you want. Additionally, our Body Therapy Services - Massage and Acupunture - offer natural healing, relaxation, and body rejuvenation.

We offer many recreation leagues, such as Basketball, Pickeball and more! Some leagues have been paused due to COVID-19. We also offer free play for our full size gymnasium, racquetball courts, tennis courts and playing fields.

The JCC has something for everyone! We offer youth sports, swim lessons, fitness, engagement programming, and more.

Camp JCC: We Make Camp Fun & Easy!
Mix and match camp programs, sign up for as many different camps and weeks as you wish. Different experiences are provided on a weekly/bi-weekly basis to ensure your child has the opportunity to experience everything Camp JCC has to offer! Specialty camp programs include a variety of sports, STEM and creative art options.

Available for students grades 1-8 (ages 6-13). All activities will take place on the Shaw JCC of Akron's vast campus!

Join the "After School" Fun at the Shaw JCC of Akron with out After-School Enrichment Program! Children ages 5-12 are eligible. Participate in physical education activities, martial arts lessons with a professional, personal strength training provided by our wonderful fitness staff, art classes as well as swimming in our wonderful facilities!

The Shaw JCC (or The J, for short) creates a community for all based on Jewish values by providing quality programs and services in a safe and secure environment for people of all ages. The Akron Jewish Center--the community's central home--was first formed in 1920 and moved into a building on Balch Street in 1929. In 1973, The Shaw JCC moved to its current home, the 55-acre community campus located at 750 White Pond Drive in West Akron, next to I-77.
