Program Highlights:
Elmhurst Academy is a private, Reggio Emilia inspired early chjildhood school, educating children from birth through kindergarten. The school boasts two Discovery Play Gardens for outdoor learning and exploration. Each classroom has a gardening plat where flowers, herbs fruits and vegetables are grown. There is also an outdoor classroom for environmental education (EEK!) including composting, rain water retention as well as outdoor art. The Elmhurst Academy Discovery Play Gardens are on their way to becoming accredited through the Arbor Foundation's Nature Explore Classrooms.
