Program Highlights:
Rainbow Academy invites children to explore the outdoors! During the Spring, children plant seedlings and take care of them in a greenhouse. In May, the seedlings are planted outdoors in a beautiful vegetable garden with raised boxes. There is a butterfly garden, shaped like a butterfly, to attract butterflies. There is a Melody Garden with paths that meander through with different types of rhythm instruments to play. There is a sunflower house with picnic tables where children can paint on easels or have snack. During the Fall, the children create scarecrows and pick pumpkins. In the winter, the children share lunch and snack in the greenhouse. They also romp and play in the snow, as they are true "snow angels."
Mission Statement:
Young children love to explore the world! In the early years, it is so important to bring the indoors outside!
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
Explore the colors of the Rainbow!!!
Program History:
Rainbow Academy is idylically set on a 5-acre farm. There are gardens and a petting zoo with goats and lambs. Candy, the pony, and her friend, Tingalayo, the miniature donkay, meander in the paddock. The children spend most of their day exploring the beautiful world outdoors! Classrooms are uniquely designed in a renovated barn.
