The Mission Valley Preserve is the Valley’s only open space area that is home to many rare and endangered plants, trees and animals. It’s a special place of natural beauty and a spectacular hidden river. However, parts of the preserve have issues with trash and dumping which degrade this special habitat and our community while harming the river. With your help we can clean up the entire 51-acre preserve in just 3 hours! We are looking for 400 volunteers to join us on October 27 from 9am to noon to create a healthy river and community in Mission Valley. We will provide all planning, supplies and logistics as well as leadership so it’s very easy to volunteer. If you could provide 3 hours of your time on a Saturday morning and bring a few friends to help, together we can rescue the health and beauty of the Mission Valley Nature Preserve.
Community service hours can be verified and groups of all sizes are encouraged to join us (just let us know how many in your group so we can be sure to have enough supplies for everyone)
Dress Code: Sturdy clothes that can get a little dirty. Closed shoes required, no sandals or flip flops please. Hat and sunscreen are recommended.
