For children with dyslexia or who are one to two grade levels behind in reading.
I'm a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist and I provide private, online dyslexia tutoring using the Orton-Gillingham approach. I develop a customized plan for your struggling reader that involves auditory/visual processing activities, animation, video, online tools and games, and also an at-home kit for an interactive and engaging learning experience focused on phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Dyslexia Screening - In under an hour, you will receive:
- a Total Dyslexia Score for your child that shows their overall risk of having dyslexia-related challenges.
- 6 Dyslexia Subscale Scores, showing results on 4 key mental functions that underlie dyslexic reading and spelling challenges (phonological processing, working memory, naming speed, visual attention) and 2 reading achievement skills.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
When struggling readers have fun while learning to become skilled readers, they become confident and excited learners.
Testimonials:
- The work Danielle has done with my daughter Zoe has been transformational. I saw from a very young age that Zoe was having trouble. She has an older sister who is gifted in spelling, reading and writing and when she wasn't hitting the same milestones, I knew there was some extra help that she would need above and beyond what I could help her with. I started asking friends in our homeschool community for advice on where to get extra help for her. That evening I went online and had her take the test. I was shocked to see just how far behind she was. Zoe was reading at a kindergarten level and she is at the end of her second grade year. In just 8 short weeks Zoe has already bumped up to a first grade reading level! I am confident that with the continued daily exercise and the weekly zoom meetings with Danielle, that Zoe will be back on track soon. I am so thankful for all the work Danielle has done with Zoe and I would highly recommend her and this program to anyone who has a child who needs some extra help. - Lauren G. - Verified

Danielle is amazing! My 7 yr old went from reading at a 1st grade level to a 3rd grade level in just 12 weeks! Her handwriting & spelling became the best in her class! I highly recommend Danielle! - Kaitlyn H.
-
Danielle has been so kind, patient and understanding with my daughter. She is always encouraging her and praises her strengths, not dwelling on her weaknesses. She has helped her improve her reading skills. We are grateful for all that she has done for our daughter. - Valerie L.

I am writing this letter to share how wonderful Danielle is and the work she does through the dyslexia code. My daughter was in second grade and when Danielle first met her she was at a kindergarten reading level. We knew that something needed to be done but we didn't know where to turn or to get the resources we needed. A friend of mine recommended the dyslexia code and we were introduced to Danielle. To say she has been a blessing in our lives in an understatement. We have watched our daughter grow not only in her reading but also her confidence. As it stands today our daughter is in third grade and her new teacher has been amazed at the growth she has seen in such a short time, that the school asked me what we were doing extra and if they could have their contact information! Danielle you are our hero! - Tara B.
- The amount of progress our daughter has made since working with Miss Danielle is miraculous. Our daughter used to hate reading, and was a year behind her grade level. After working with Miss Danielle, our daughter can not only read books years ahead of her grade level, but she actually enjoys reading. Words can not express how grateful we are to Miss Danielle. - Sarah M.
