Program Highlights:
There is a commitment fee for application and participation fee paid in taking part in Pamoja International programs.
Airport pick up is arranged for all volunteers taking part in our programs.
Airfare is borne by the volunteer
We assit with visa application
There is a 1 day orientation for all volunteers to explain to them about the program objective,type of work,safety measures,accomodation,leisure activities and registration.
It is expected that prospective volunteers have travel and health insurance
Transport is by public means
Medium term volunteer and internship programs are on going so volunteer/intern can apply any time.

Pamoja International Voluntary Services (PIVS) is a non-profit, Non Governmental Organization (N.G.O.) without any political or religious or sectarian affiliation. PIVS co-ordinates, plans and organizes International work camps and Medium Term Volunteer program with community groups or institutions in need of voluntary labour or service to empower community self-help initiatives.
PIVS is set in an African tradition way of life thus focusing on its vision to improve the people's way of life by working with them from grass root levels. PIVS was founded in 2001 and registered in 2002 at the Office of the Vice President and Ministry of Gender, Sports, Culture and Social Services as Community Based Organization and in 2007 PIVS was elevated and registered as a Non Governmental Organization.
Setting:
Pamoja International programs are set in rural areas most of the times, though we have programs in urban areas. The accommodation is basic and we require volunteer/interns who can adapt to simple living conditions of life.
Our program we have a co-ordinator who will be assisting the volunteer/intern during their stay in Kenya.

Program Information:
2-3 weeks international work camps (with start and end dates) programs range from construction,environment,teaching in school,caring for orphans,volunteering in hospitals
1-6 months Medium term volunteer program, focus on health,education,social work,human rights, micro finance, environment
2-8 weeks internship program (for students) focus on Human rights,wildlife,micro finance,health,legal and advocacy,international co-operation and development
