Volunteer with VSO and help engineer Ethiopia's future.
There is a serious shortage of engineering teachers and trained educators in universities in Ethiopia. You can help urgently to fill the gap by volunteering today with VSO.
We are looking for passionate engineers to volunteer as lecturers in the top universities in Ethiopia. Sharing your skills and time with people most in need will enrich your life and give your career a boost. Thousands of professionals say volunteering with VSO is a life changing experience. VSO needs engineering teachers across all sectors including:
Biomedical engineering
You'll have an MSc or PhD in biomedical engineering, bioinstrumentation, medical imaging or in another relevant field. You'll have experience of teaching and ideally professional industrial experience and research skills.
Chemical engineering
You'll have an MSc or PhD in chemical engineering or a relevant field and experience of teaching. Ideally you'll also have professional industrial experience.
Electrical engineering
You'll have an MSc or PhD in electrical engineering or a relevant subject and experience of teaching in higher education. Ideally you'll have research skills and professional industrial experience.
Industrial engineering
With an MSc or PhD in industrial engineering or another relevant field, you'll have experience of teaching and preferably in a higher education institute. Ideally you'll also have professional industrial experience and research skills.
Civil/structural/water engineering
You'll have an MSc in a relevant field and experience of teaching in a higher education context. Industrial professional experience would be a bonus.
Computer engineering
You'll have an MSc in computer or software engineering or another relevant field and experience of teaching. Ideally you'll also have some professional industrial experience.
