Mission Statement:
Children's Restoration Network (CRN) is a non-profit agency focusing on the plight of homeless children in our community. In addition to meeting basic needs, CRN conducts special events to provide a broad range of positive experiences for the children and their mothers to promote healthy and happy community interaction.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
CRN also helps provide homeless children and mothers with basic necessities such as providing food and subsidizing rent and utilities for shelters, supplementing their food pantries, and providing furniture, house wares and other assistance for families recovering from homelessness.
Program History:
During its productive sixteen year history, CRN has dedicated its efforts to fulfilling its mission and vision statements working with 128 shelters and group homes throughout metro-Atlanta, serving over 2,000 children each day, 3,400 each year. While children are our main focus, we also realize that assisting the mother is usually the best way to help the child. Programs are therefore directed towards both children and their mothers to ease their transition through homelessness.
Events:
JULY 10TH - JULY 24TH: GUINNESS WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT "LONGEST LIVE MUSIC CONCERT BY MULTIPLE ARTISTS"
in order to raise much needed awareness for homeless children in the metro-Atlanta area.
Additional Information:
- Enjoy music?
- Looking to do something fun and meaningful this summer?
- Got kids home for summer who just want to get out of the house?
- Need to do some community service hours?
- Want to help thousands of homeless kids in metro-Atlanta?
If you answered yes to any of these then CRN has the world's greatest volunteer opportunity to offer.
From July 10th to July 24th Children's Restoration Network is organizing the World's Longest Live Music Concert by Multiple Artists - 343 hours of non-stop music in order to create awareness for homeless kids in metro-Atlanta - because homelessness never sleeps.
We ask that you sacrifice one night of sleep (or at least 2 hours of one) as WE NEED VOLUNTEERS from 2:00AM - 10:00AM to help us break this World Record.
WHY? Guinness rules state that we must have at least 10 people in attendance at all times to break the record. Our biggest concern is without your help it's going to be a real challenge to ensure we have the audience required during this time frame.
Literally - all we ask is you to sacrifice a bit of sleep to come out and listen to some great tunes. We are even offering free breakfast, juice and coffee to all those who agree to volunteer (in advance, for at least 2 hours) during this time frame! Not only that but your name will also be added to our NIGHT VOLUNTEERS PRIZE DRAWING that will take place on the last day (July 24th) of the concert.
This is a brilliant opportunity for you to get together with a group of your friends and enjoy even a late night or a very early morning! If it's a friend's birthday why not extend the party after hours with us? Got kids just dying to get out the house? Have them and their friends come chill with us! In a poker/ chess club (eg) why not organize a late night competition? Play computer games all night (there's also free WIFI) What you do during your time is completely up to you!
WHEN? 12:00 PM, July 10th - 7:00 PM, July 24th
WHERE? The Red Rabbit Pizza, Pub and Grill
Johns Creek, 30097
