Causes Served: saving Maine Coon cats/kittens - purebreds and mixes
Population Served: everyone who is looking for a new cat/kitten to love!
Ages for Volunteer: 18 and up
Hours of Service: make your own hours with either fostering, processing adoption applications, or transporting
Minimum Hours Required: a few hours per week
Days of Service: any that fit into your schedule
Mission Statement:
To rescue Maine Coon and Maine Coon mix cats/kittens from kill shelters and place them into temporary foster homes until their permanent homes are found.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
We do not put to sleep any healthy, adoptable cats/kittens
Program History:
We formed in July of 2009 but most of us came from a larger, nationwide rescue group.
Events:
We participate in adoption events such as at Tabby's Place in Ringoes, NJ, and the Super Pet Expo in Edison, NJ
Additional Information:
We are looking for volunteers to do the following:
Foster cats/kittens - my group pays the medical bills; you provide shelter, food, litter, supplies, and love.
Case Manger - processes adoption applications - contacts personal references, vet references, conducts telephone interviews, writes reviews, performs matchmaker services with our cats/kittens. Telephone and written communication skills are required.
Transporters - drive our cats from shelters to foster homes or from foster homes to approved permanent homes.
