Mission Statement:
MDA serves our community of adults and children affected by any of more than 40 neuromuscular diseases, and their families, whom benefit from MDA's services, research, and education programs. MDA clinics offer diagnosis and follow-up care.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
MDA Mean Hope for Tomorrow. MDA funds more than 330 research investigations by top scientists worldwide. The leading private supporter of the search for causes of, and cures and treatments for, neuromuscular diseases.
Program History:
Since 1950, the Muscular Dystrophy Association has provided the Lowcountry area with the most comprehensive services program of any voluntary health agency in the country

Summer Camps, Lock-Ups, Walk of Hope, Telethon, Fill-the-Boot Campaigns, Corporate Bowls, Shamrock program, Annual Walks, and Social Events.
