Mission Statement:
Seeking to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.

Our work is important because:
* 1 in 9 Americans have chronic kidney disease.
* There are 20 million people with kidney disease and another 20 million people at risk in the U.S.; in Northern California there are over 2 million people that have kidney disease or are at risk of developing it.
* There are over 13,000 people currently on dialysis in Northern California.
* Adult-onset diabetes and high blood pressure are the leading causes of chronic kidney failure.
