Mission Statement:
Serve-a-thon helps to progress one of City Year’s founding principles, to unite people of diverse backgrounds and to give them the opportunities to change the world! Serve-a-thon brings people from all around Boston and has them work along side of each other with the shared purpose of helping those who need it most.

Join with the City Year youth corps to demonstrate the power of service and see firsthand how one day can transform a community.
BUILD a stronger community.
Join thousands of other dedicated participants to help transform Greater Boston into a better place to live and grow.
BELIEVE in the power of service. Invigorate the City of Boston through projects such as creating outdoor play areas, painting murals, planting gardens and renovating community spaces.
Events:
In addition to an amazing opening ceremony on City Hall Plaza, and awe-inspiring service, the day will conclude with a party on the Plaza. Musical guest ‘The Bad Rabbits’, will be jamming away while the crowd enjoys free drinks, free food and raffle prizes.

Serve-a-thon is a fundraiser for City Year Boston which unites thousands of citizens from across Greater Boston, to bring new life to schools, playgrounds, vacant lots, housing developments and parks.
