Mission Statement:
The Children's Museum of the Upstate exists to ignite a passion for learning, empowering all children to discover their view of themselves and the world.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
TCMU is an educational play space for children to learn all that they can be and do. Through multi-generational play in our exhibits and fun hand-on programs, the museum explores science, technology, engineering, arts, and wellness.
Program History:
The museum has been open since July 31, 2009. Since that time volunteers have been helping to support the mission and museum staff both with the visitors and behind the scenes.
Additional Information:
Applicants need to submit a complete volunteer application which is available on our website. A SLED check is completed on all volunteers prior to being accpeted into the program. Training is required to volunteer with the museum.
