Mission Statement:
Established in 1965 the AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) engages adults aged 55 and over to provide caring and experienced tutors and mentors to children and youth with special or exceptional needs.

AmeriCorps improves lives, strengthens communities, and fosters civic engagement through service and volunteering
Program History:
Foster Grandparent Program has been around since 1965. Montgomery adopted the Program in July 2023.

Volunteers needed. 55+ can use their life experience to enhance the lives of children. All training will be provided, background checks paid for by us. If eligible you could receive a stipend for the hours worked. Take the time and pay it forward and get involved.
