Knit With Love is focused on providing scarves, caps, blankets and other knitted clothing to people in need. The gift of a scarf or cap can bring joy to a person and brighten up their life.
Program History:
Knit With Love was founded by Lindsay Baxter, a high school student in Orange County, Califoria. I wanted to find a way to help people in need and in my travels to New York and Chicago during the winter months, I saw how many children and families without wealth had to face the freezing winter weather. Seeing people sleeping on the side walks on freezing nights gave me the idea to use my knitting skills to provide warmth to these people in need. I have since found so many other people to help through knitting including children and other people undergoing medical treatments for cancer and other illnesses.
