Spring 2020 CRISIS LINE TRAINING WILL BE SCHEDULED TO BEGIN IN MARCH 2020 - SPECIFIC DATE YET TO BE DETERMINED, BUT IT WILL BE A THURSDAY EVENING. INTERESTED APPLICANTS SHOULD TRY TO APPLY BY FEBRUARY 7TH, 2020. PLEASE SEE APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS BELOW.
AID's Crisis Line provides assistance to persons with a wide variety of needs and concerns:

Loneliness

Substance Abuse
Callers are linked to appropriate referrals in their community.

All volunteers will be screened, interviewed, must provide two references, and must complete required criminal background checking before training.
Training is offered twice a year, in September and in March and volunteers must attend 12 consecutive Thursday evening training sessions in order to volunteer.
We also accept applications year round for Sunshine Caller volunteers. These are trained volunteers who offer phone support to people in need. Regular, scheduled phone calls provide people with:

Sunshine caller applications are accepted all year, and training takes place while on your volunteer shift.
