Mission Statement:
Help promoting independence for at-risk youth, special needs people, and disabled veterans by providing healing programs with the help of the horse. We provide quality hands-on learning opportunities that facilitate community involvement through successful and meaningful volunteer experiences.
Program History:
Bit-By-Bit is a non-profit organization that has been in existence since 2002. We are a PATH international Center and we follow their policies for horse care and safety. Are founding members are Kathleen who is an active member on our Board of Directors and Susan March who is our Executive Director. We provide Hippotherapy which is Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy with the help of a horse that we use as a tool. We also teach riding lessons which is called Therapeutic Riding for those with special needs. Another recreational program that we run is for the Veterans called Horses for Heroes, which runs 1x a month.
