Mission Statement:
The National Park Service preserves unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the national park system for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations.

Preserve and Protect special places so future generations can understand and form connections to our shared heritage.
Program History:
Everglades National Parks hosts over 1,000 volunteers each year in a variety of capacities. We generally see about 25 work groups each year which helps maintain the park for over 1 million visitors annually.

Additional Information: No housing is available at the park, campgrounds are available, local churches sometimes host groups and a low cost youth hostel is also available nearby in Florida City. We also work with Biscayne National Park to provide volunteer opportunities.
