Its unique programs are focused on improving children’s educational excellence and health. The organization partners with local libraries, school systems healthcare advocates and hospitals to ensure children get the full benefit of its programs. We provide a free alternative program to underserved families with students in grades K-5. At our core, reading comprehension and technology competencies are the focus of our programs.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
We provide a free alternative program to underserved families with students in grades K-5. At our core, reading comprehension and technology competencies are the focus of our programs.
Program History:
Annually, we have helped more than 400 under-served kids at our fun book clubs and math sessions gain insight in literacy and logical games. Collaboration with other Non Profit organizations helped provide hot meals to children during book clubs. More than 300 under-served families obtained healthcare coverage and connected their children with doctors and dentists within their local communities. By educating parents, more than 200 children have received annual check-ups and immunizations. We also helped families fill more than 1,000 prescriptions at 50-75 percent below retail costs.
