Our History: The year 1989 marked our beginnings as a small grassroots organization offering children a safe place to understand their grief and successfully adapt to their changed lives. Modeled after the Dougy Center in Oregon, Supporting Kidds provided peer support groups for grieving children using leased and donated space in the local community.
In 2020, Supporting Kidds entered our 30th year of service. We have have served thousands of children and families and we continue to remain a leader and model for serving the needs of bereaved children and families in Delaware.
