Mission Statement:
Our Camp's Mission is to foster friendships between children with and without Intellectual and Developmental Challenges, and to improve their overall emotional, physical, and behavioral functioning through the aid of various therapies and traditional camp recreation.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
Our program offers a socialization opportunity that will minimize the invisible line that often separates individuals with special needs, from their typical behavior peers. Camp Trusted Parents focuses on building friendships between children with and without special needs, through the use of therapeutic activities and traditional camp recreation, designed to promote fun and socialization.
Program History:
Our camp is one of the leading special needs camp in the Charlotte Metro area and has been features in the local news paper (The Charlotte Observer) for the last three years. Founding five years ago by a mom of a child diagnosis with autism, Camp Trusted Parents has gain the reputation of providing a loving and caring environment for both the campers and staff.
