Philosophy/Belief Statement:
Our Philosophy is that if people would spay/ neuter their pets, we would not have the shelters and rescues full.
Program History:
W.O.W Dog Rescue opened its 501c3 non -profit small dog rescue in October of 2017
Events:
We continue to have fundraising events, usually 1 event every other month. Our next scheduled event is in the fall where we will have a pancake breakfast at desert breeze park.
Additional Information:
We are a 501 c3, non profit small dog rescue. We do not have a facility, insted when we take a dog into our rescue, we bring them right into a Foster home. They observe the dog, and depending on if they were an owner surrender, or a stray, or a intake from one of the county shelters, how long they are kept in a large play pen for observation.
Once they are under our rescue, we get them vetted, (shots, spay or neutered, micro-chipped) and some need grooming, then we put them online for adoption.
Our rescue NEVER brings the dogs to a adoption event where they can be adopted. All our adoptions are done online, and an application is completed. If the application turns out to be a perfect match for the dog, we do a meet up. (With their dog too, if they have one).
If all goes well, they can adopt then.
